Brazil’s Chamber passes 2022 Budget; deputies analyze highlights

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday, December 21, approved the 2022 Budget by 358 to 97 votes. There were only 2 abstentions. Chamber deputies will now analyze highlights to the final report presented by deputy Hugo Leal (PSD-RJ).

With criticism to the electoral fund value and the amount reserved for secret budget amendments, 4 parties guided their benches to reject the budget: PCdoB, PSOL, NOVO and Podemos, of pre-candidate to the presidency of the Republic Sergio Moro. The remainder voted "yes."
