Opinion: how is it that Bolsonaro won in all but one region and two of the three most populous states and still lost?

(Opinion) “Listen, do they think we’re idiots?” – Steve Bannon and Matthew Tyrmand discuss what they call the improbable Brazilian election results that look much like the “Drop and Roll” in the US 2020.

Here are some facts:

Bolsonaro grew more than Lula da Silva in every state in the runoff.

He won in all regions but in one.

He won in two of the three most populous states, while only losing 50,000 votes to Lula da Silva in the third largest, Minas Gerais.

And still, he lost the presidency, as reported by the Brazilian Superior Electoral court TSE?

Listen to Matthew Tyrmand, a Polish American investigative journalist who says something is wrong.

Bolsonaro’s party dominated the election and will dominate the lower House in Brazil with the other conservative parties.

Bolsonaro was winning the election up to a certain point, and then every ballot drop was won by the socialist candidate. “The math doesn’t make sense at all,” says Matthew Tyrmand.

The Mainstream Media all “pounded in immediately,” says Bannon, to claim the win for the socialist.

“There’s been no transparency. There’s been censorship. There have been arrests of opposition. There’s been penalization from the court to Bolsonaro’s party,” says Tyrmand.

The election in Brazil is the same as the US election of 2020, they concluded.
