44% of Uruguayans approve of Lacalle Pou’s administration: survey

Forty-four percent of Uruguayans approve the management of President Luis Lacalle Pou, revealed a survey by Factum consulting firm released yesterday, Wednesday, on the third anniversary of the president’s inauguration.

Meanwhile, 42 percent disapprove of the performance of the president elected in November 2019 when a coalition of five parties supported him.

At the beginning of his administration in 2020, the head of state had an approval rating of 63 percent, and in February 2022, this support was 55 percent.

The Cifra telephone survey was conducted nationwide with a sample of 1,007 people between February 15 and 27.

Lacalle Pou, a 49-year-old lawyer, won the 2019 National Party (PN) candidate election and assumed the presidency on March 1, 2020, leaving behind 15 years of the Frente Amplio (FA) government.
