What the Anitta Rio de Janeiro Concert Is

The Anitta Rio concert belongs to her Ensaios series, a run of shows held before Carnival. Ensaio is the Portuguese word for rehearsal, the name Rio’s samba schools use for their practice nights.

The 2027 tour is called Carnaval da Anitta 2027, with the theme É Festa no Brasil, meaning It’s a Party in Brazil. Itatiaia reported that the theme draws on popular festivals from different regions of the country.

Anitta billed the Rio date as the biggest rehearsal of all time, with 12 hours of programming at Parque Olímpico. She is due on the main stage for about six hours, joined by special guests whose names have not been released.

Before her set, well-known DJs play a warm-up, and brands run immersive Carnival-themed experiences around the grounds. Itatiaia reports that the stage should keep the 360-degree layout of earlier editions, with guest musicians announced during the season.

Itatiaia reported on Friday 18 September that about 80,000 people waited in the online queue at one point. Every ticket sold in roughly ten hours.

Tickets and the Sold-Out Status

Ingresse, a Brazilian ticketing platform, sold the Anitta Rio concert tickets, according to Diário do Rio. Presale opened at noon on Tuesday 15 September, exclusively for holders of a Mercado Pago credit card.

NC News reported that the presale allotment sold out in about 30 minutes. General sale followed at noon on Thursday 17 September, and Itatiaia says the rest was gone in about ten hours.

On Wednesday 21 October the official tour site still marked Rio as sold out, with no purchase link. It links to Ingresse pages only for the cities that still have tickets.

No Rio price list appears in the coverage we reviewed, so Rio prices are not confirmed. For comparison only, Belém lists Premium tickets at R$340 (about US$68) and a half-price option at R$170 (about US$34).

The most expensive Belém ticket listed, IPEN, costs R$600 (about US$119), according to Diário do Pará. Belém’s show is in a stadium car park, and the dollar figures use 5.02 reais per US$ on Wednesday 21 October 2026.

Belém’s half-price tickets go to under-21s, public school teachers, students, disability companions and donors of 1 kg of non-perishable food. Rio’s half-price rules have not been published in the sources we reviewed.

The tour site rates the Ensaios for ages 18 and over. Under-18s should check the Ingresse regulations for their city.

Be careful with anyone selling tickets on social media or outside the venue. The tour site names no resale channel for Rio, so an official one is not confirmed.

The Venue and How to Get There

Parque Olímpico is the Olympic Park in Barra da Tijuca, a coastal district in the west of Rio de Janeiro. Diário do Rio and Itatiaia both name it as the venue for the Sunday 24 January show.

POPLine and NC News report that the park, which also hosts Rock in Rio, can hold up to 100,000 people. Organisers have not published a ticket count for the Anitta Rio concert.

No transport plan has been announced yet for the Anitta Rio concert. Rock in Rio is held at the same Olympic Park, so its September 2026 plan is the best guide.

The metro’s Line 4 links Ipanema with Jardim Oceânico in Barra da Tijuca, its last stop, say Panrotas and Diário do Transporte. On Rock in Rio days, Jardim Oceânico was the only metro station linked to a special bus rapid transit (BRT) service.

That express BRT ran direct to Terminal Centro Olímpico, the stop in front of the Rock in Rio grounds. The ticket cost R$29 (about US$6) in the Jaé transport app, and a metro trip cost R$7.90 (about US$1.57).

Jardim Oceânico stayed open around the clock for boarding on Rock in Rio days. A matching plan for the Anitta show is not confirmed.

For a Saturday show at the park in 2023, the city closed nearby streets from 13:00 and offered no parking area. It advised people not to drive, and the same advice is wise for a Sunday in January.

In 2023, regular Sunday metro hours were 07:00 to 23:00, but Jardim Oceânico stayed open until 01:00 after a Saturday show. Hours for the Anitta Rio concert are not confirmed, so agree on a pick-up point for app rides.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

US citizens going to the Anitta Rio concert need a Brazilian visa and must get it before travelling, the State Department says. The passport must be valid on the date of entry, with one blank page for the entry stamp.

Our guide to the Brazil e-visa for US citizens explains how to apply. Start early, because the visa must be approved before you fly.

The State Department rates Brazil at Level 2, exercise increased caution, because of crime and kidnapping. It warns that assaults, including with drugs slipped into drinks, are common, especially in Rio de Janeiro.

Keep your drink in sight, carry only a card and a phone, and agree on a meeting point before you enter. Our Rio and São Paulo safety guide covers district-by-district advice for visitors.

The Belém rules, published by Diário do Pará, ban glass, umbrellas, wheeled luggage, chairs, selfie sticks and professional cameras. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, a rain cape and one sealed water bottle were allowed, which suits a Rio summer day.

Rio’s own list of allowed items has not been published in the sources we reviewed, so read the Ingresse regulations before you go. If you plan a longer stay, see our Rio de Janeiro city page for neighbourhoods and costs.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

Organisers have not published a start time, a gate time or the running order for the Anitta Rio concert. The special guests and the DJs for the warm-up are also unnamed.

No Rio price list, official ticket count or sector map appears in the sources we reviewed. That matters mostly to fans who find a legitimate resale.

The city has not announced a transport plan or road closures for Sunday 24 January. Past events at the park came with temporary BRT lines and street closures.

It is not confirmed whether Ingresse will release extra tickets or offer an official resale. The tour site shows no purchase link for Rio, so check it again closer to the date.

What Comes Next

On Wednesday 21 October the tour site showed buy links for Belém on Saturday 9 January and Belo Horizonte on Saturday 16 January. It also showed links for Brasília on Sunday 17 January, Campinas on Saturday 23 January and São Paulo on Sunday 31 January.

Recife on Sunday 10 January and Curitiba on Saturday 30 January are sold out, like the Anitta Rio concert. Ticket links can disappear within hours, so check the site before you plan a trip.

Anitta also holds free street parades called Bloco da Anitta after the tour, according to ABC do ABC. Salvador’s is on Friday 5 February at Circuito Barra-Ondina, and Rio’s is on Friday 12 February in the Centro district.

For the wider Carnival season, see our Rio Carnival 2027 parade schedule with dates and tickets. That guide also lists the main parade dates and how visitors buy tickets.
