The show, which comes just days after the release of Van Etten’s new five-song EP entitled, I Don’t Want to Let You Down, will take place at Imperator Centro Cultural João Nogueira, located in in the city’s Zona Norte (North Zone) neighborhood of Méier.
To date, Van Etten has released four full-length studio albums and with each release, from her sparse debut album, Because I Was in Love to the most recent album release, Are We There, to the I Don’t Want to Let You Down EP, Van Etten’s music has become fuller, featuring more elaborate arrangements and more polished production.
This is a great time to see an artist during a peak in her career.

Backstreet Boys (Barra da Tijuca)
Tonight, veteran boy band, Backstreet Boys return to perform the second of two scheduled shows at Citibank Hall in Barra da Tijuca. Both shows are part of the South American leg of the ongoing Backstreet Boys` In a World Like This Tour, held in support of the group’s eighth studio album of the same name. The five Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell, officially formed the group on April 30, 1993 and are going strong today, selling out shows around the world.

Village Jockey Club with Anitta (Gávea)
Tonight the Village Jockey Club festival will present the The Cone Crew Diretoria with Anitta and Flora Mattos performing live. The festival began on June 4th in the Jockey Club do Rio de Janeiro in Gávea and will continue through the 21st with both international and national musicians and bands performing live, as well as parties, food, food trucks and more.

Tonight American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sharon Van Etten will perform live in Rio de Janeiro for the first time. Thanks to the help of Queremos, a Rio-based crowdfunded kickstarter, that connects musicians, agents, fans and venues, the show will take place tonight at Imperator Centro Cultural João Nogueira in Méir.
