FIFA Fan Fest (Copacabana)
Today at 1PM watch the live broadcast of Brazil taking on Chile, for the first game in the 2014 World Cup Round of 16, at the Rio FIFA Fan Fest located in Copacabana. The 31,000 m² area on the beach between the streets of Princesa Isabel and Duvivier houses a large screen to view the matches live and a stage for entertainers that, during the tournament, will include; Sorriso Maroto, Dudu Nobre, Arlindo Cruz, Anitta, Sandra de Sá, Bom Gosto, Suvaco de Cristo, Cordão da Bola Preta, Fogo e Paixão, Bloco Brasil, Empolga às Nove, Blitz. Each game day, the area between the streets of Princesa Isabel and Duvivier will open two hours before the first match of the day and close at 10PM. Capacity for the area is 20,000. Entry is free and entrance will be granted according to order of arrival.

Chá da Valesca (Lapa)
Tonight in Lapa, Valesca Popozuda returns to Fundição Progresso to put on his one of a kind funk show complete with the best of MPB hits and reinterpretations of current pop hits; over-the-top special effects and costumes; and his trademark provocative backup dancers known as the “popô dancers”.

The Putzbrilha party returns to Fosfobox tonight, again filling the popular Copacabana club with black lights and fluorescent paint. DJs will spin the best of pop, dubstep, eletronica, hip-hop, funk and indie rock throughout the night.

Festa LED (Centro)
For more fun with black lights and neon colors tonight in Rio, head to Centro’s Espaço Acústica as they will host the Festa LED beginning at 11PM. For this edition the event promises to make the the venue shine brighter than ever with double the black lights and distribution of flashlights, face painting and distribution of neon inks and pens. DJs Buba, Ivvyz and Nathalia Hinz will spin electro house, pop and funk on the first stage, while DJs Felipe Malfoy and Buba with deliver the best of rock, pop rock and indie rock from the second stage. Additionally, three hundred shots of miscellaneous drinks will be distributed at the entrance of the venue to party-goers as they make their way toward the light.

Noon and Aquarela.som (Gávea)
Things get started early at Gávea’s club 00 (Zero Zero) today as the Noon party kicks off at 4PM. For the event, DJs China, Mau Lopes and Nepal will spin in 00’s beautiful outdoor area until 10PM. DJ Ailton Areas will then take over as the Aquarela.som party, produced by Marta Murat and Mônica Medeiros, takes over both the indoor and outdoor areas of the chic venue.

La Passion Club in Glória will host the Dance Floor event with DJs Rodrigo Mattos, Atração Surpresa and Flavia Xexéo spinning house, hip hop, and various beats. Additionally, beers, tequilia, Sex on the Beach and Vodka Nacional will be dose dupla (two for one) all night long.

JP Silva and Ana Costa (Lapa)
JP Silva starts off the night at Carioca da Gema at 9:39 PM with singer Ana Costa following at 11:30 PM. Costa reinvigorates the sounds of old samba with the songs on her 3rd album and will play those works live tonight, as well as, her reinterpretations of the works of Cartola, Nelson Cavaquinho, and Chico Buarque, among others.

Bebadosamba, Paulinho Mocidade and Pédaladeira (Centro)
At 8PM, the group Bebadosamba gets things started tonight at Centro’s Rio Scenarium with traditional samba and choro. Paulinho Mocidade will follow at 11PM with more lively classic and contemporary samba. Beginning at 3AM, the group Pédaladeira will close out the night, with some of the best forró pé de serra you will hear anywhere in Rio tonight.

Let’s Pop (Lapa)
Tonight in Lapa, the Let’s Pop party at the Leviano bar will include the bands, Licor do Canavial and Johnny’s Band, playing the best of pop, rock and international hits on the first floor while on the second floor the band the Stanleys will perform songs from Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, and the Police, among others, to help the crowd keep dancing well into the night.

The band Tom & sua Bluesband will bring the sounds of blues to the Lapa Irish Pub tonight. Located beside Lapa’s famous Arcos da Lapa (Lapa Arches), this pub is known to draw a fun and energetic crowd and tonight should be no exception. They offer a wide selection of quality imported beers and the decor with its welcoming and familiar feel makes it a great place to drink them in while enjoying some quality live music. During the World Cup the pub will also be showing the games live on their screens.
