Rio Nightlife Guide for Tuesday, February 9, 2016
The Rio Music Carnival is part of the Rio Music Conference (RMC). Considered Latin America’s biggest electronic dance music event, the RMC held it eight edition this year.
Tonight in addition to Hardwell, DJs Kill the Buzz, Johnny Glöver, Raul Mendes, and Jakko will spin. Rodrigo Shá and Carol Legally will also spin a special back-to-back set.

An estimated 12,000 people will parade from Praça Santos Dumont down Rua Marquês De São Vicente and Rua Vice-Governador Rubens Berardo to Terminal Da Puc.

Approximately 10,000 people are expected to parade from Largo Do Curvelo to the steps in Santa Teresa.

Vagalume O Verde (Jardim Botânico)
An estimated 15,000 people will parade from Rua Jardim Botânico down Rua Pacheco Leão to Praça Santos Dumont.

Bloco Do Trio (Barra da Tijuca)
An estimated 50,000 people will parade from Avenida Lúcio Costa down Avenida Do Pepê to Avenida Olegário Maciel.

An estimated 80,000 people will parade in Aterro Do Flamengo.

Empurra Que Pega Do Leblon (Leblon)
An estimated 80,000 people will parade from Avenida Ataulfo De Paiva down Avenida Bartolomeu Mitre to Rua Carlos Góis.

An estimated 90,000 people will parade from from Rua Gomes Carneiro down Avenida Vieira Souto, Rua Joana Angélica, and Rua Visconde De Pirajá to Praça General Osório.

Rio Music Carnaval with Hardwell (Marina da Glória)
The dance music festival, Rio Music Carnaval, draws to a close tonight with Alan Pinheiro, Raul Mendes, Jakko, Kill the Buzz, Johnny Glover spinning and Rodrigo Shá spinning back-to-back with Carol Legally. Hardwell will headline the night.

Festival Mimosa Rock 2016 (Praça da Bandeira)
The Festival Mimosa Rock 2016 will draw to a close tonight at Porto Pirata tonight with bands Golpe Certo, Barriga de Cadela, Mostarda Preta, and Estiletes performing live. Additionally during the night DJ Diego Ernesto will spin. Entry is free.

Dobradinha (Copacabana)
The Dobradinha party is back at Fosfobox in Copacabana tonight with a special Carnaval edition. During the party, DJs will spin the best of rock, pop, techno, funk, axé, and more. Promotions will include two-for-one Jägermeister until 1AM and two-for-one Hi-Fi until 2AM. There will also be free pizza in line and twins pay only one entry fee.

The Bem Brasil party will once again take place at Miroir in Ipanema tonight. It will include live samba from the band Pretensão and DJs Luciano Hoffer and Haron Dufau spinning the best of hip hop, Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, and kuduro throughout the night. Additionally, promotions will include free caipirinhas from 11PM until midnight.

The band Comanches will then perform the best of 60s and 70s samba beginning at 11PM. The Império Serrano Bateria (percussion section) will then perform beginning a 3AM.
