More Argentine business owners are looking to invest in Venezuela

More Argentine business owners are looking to invest in Venezuela. Colombian business leaders are showing renewed interest in Venezuela as well.

Patricio Passet leads a group of nearly 70 such investors in the country. He said to Sputnik that Venezuela is now a good business place.

The group is active in oil, farming, tourism, and fintech. Passet thinks the group will also attract new investors from Argentina.

He says Venezuela’s economy is improving, making it appealing for business.

Passet adds that more Argentines are interested in setting up businesses in Venezuela. The group aims to change people’s negative views about the country.

Oscar Laborde, Argentina’s Ambassador to Venezuela, also stresses the need for better trade ties.

He told Sputnik that past diplomatic issues caused Argentina to lose a lot of money.

Reviving this trade is a top priority, especially as it had once fallen from 1.5 billion to just 100 million.

Both Laborde and Passet believe Venezuela is a good place for investing. They say business there can be both safe and profitable.

This shows a bigger trend: Venezuela is becoming a more attractive option for Argentine businesses.

The shift towards Venezuela as a business hub comes after years of economic challenges. The country has faced severe sanctions and financial isolation.

These factors made many international investors hesitant to invest there.

But recent changes seem to signal a more stable economic environment. Policies have been adjusted to create a more business-friendly atmosphere.

These changes are what groups like Passet’s are banking on for future success. The warming of relations between Argentina and Venezuela also plays a role.

Diplomatic efforts are in place to strengthen economic ties. Both countries realize the benefits of increased trade and investment.

Laborde’s role as the Argentine Ambassador signifies a concrete step towards this. He’s working closely with businesses to facilitate smoother transactions.

This mutual interest in reviving trade and investment may mark a new chapter for Argentina and Venezuela.
