Brazil to export less corn, soybeans, and soybean meal in June

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – On Tuesday, the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) reduced its projections for corn, soybeans, and soybean meal shipments from Brazil in June, compared with estimates from last week.

The country’s soybean exports were estimated at 10.2 million tons, versus 10.8 million the previous week.

If the forecast is confirmed, shipments should be practically stable in the annual comparison.

In the case of soybean meal exports, the projection was revised to 2.2 million tons versus 2.3 million in the previous week.

Even so, if the projection is confirmed, the shipment should grow by 370,000 tons compared to June 2021.

Anec sees corn exports reaching 1.7 million tons in June, against 1.8 million tons a week ago.

Brazil exported virtually no corn in the same month last year, with shipments totaling about 90,000 tons, according to Anec.
