RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Over a live streaming on social media on Thursday, September 10th, President Jair Bolsonaro said that once a vaccine against the novel coronavirus reaches Brazil, it is the National Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA) that will decide whether or not people will be vaccinated.

“There was an issue with the Oxford vaccine, which we were working on. We are waiting to learn the causes … to continue research, testing, to see whether or not it can be used on people,” said the President.

During the live stream, Bolsonaro announced that he would travel to Bahia state on Friday, September 11th. He said he would visit the municipalities of Barreiras and São Desidério, along with the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio de Freitas, to monitor the work on the West-East Integration Railroad (FIOL).
