Brazilian Entrepreneurs’ Confidence Index Drops 1.7 Percent From May to June

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The Trade Entrepreneur Confidence Index (Icec), measured by the National Confederation of Trade in Goods, Services, and Tourism (CNC), retreated 1.7 percent from May to June and reached 118.3 points, on a scale of zero to 200 points. Compared to June last year, the indicator advanced 8.5 percent.

In the transition from May to June, the drop was influenced mainly by the worsening of the assessments of current circumstances, which retreated 5.1 percent. The evaluation of the current state of the economy fell by 8.5 percent.
