Brazil overtakes home market Mexico as América Móvil’s most important country

América Móvil is a Mexican telecommunications corporation headquartered in Mexico City. It is the 7th largest mobile network operator in terms of equity subscribers and one of the largest corporations in the world. América Móvil is a Forbes Global 2000 company.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The company, founded by businessman Carlos Slim, had 85.7 million mobile subscribers in Brazil at the end of June, after adding 12.9 million customers through the purchase of part of Oi's mobile business, América Móvil said in a statement.

Carlos Slim Helú is a Mexican business magnate, investor, and philanthropist. From 2010 to 2013, Slim was ranked as the richest person in the world by the Forbes business magazine
