After fuel, electricity bills for customers of 10 utilities in Brazil will now also drop; see list

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - After fuel prices fell by an average of 17% due to the efforts of the Bolsonaro government and Congress, the National Agency of Electric Energy (Aneel) on Tuesday established discounts also the new, lower electricity rates of ten utilities.

This measure was also taken due to a law passed by the National Congress that establishes the refund to consumers of the federal VAT (PIS/Cofins) overcharged on electricity bills.
