RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The holding company 2TM, owner of Brazilian cryptocurrency exchange Mercado Bitcoin, is another unicorn that is laying off staff amid a massive trend affecting high-growth companies worldwide.
2TM said Wednesday, June 1, that it laid off 90 people, 12% of its team, due to the "changing global financial landscape, high interest rates and inflation, which have had a major impact on technology-based companies."
