Bolsonaro asks for names of those who approved Covid mRNA vaccines for children in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The National Health Regulator (Anvisa) issued a note this Friday that it repudiates what it calls “threats” made by President Jair Bolsonaro yesterday in a live broadcast on social networks.

The Chief Executive publicly demanded the disclosure of the names of the public servants who approved the application of Pfizer’s covid-19 vaccine in children aged five to 11 years.

“Anvisa is always ready to meet demands for information, but repudiates and vehemently repels any threat, explicit or veiled that will constrain, intimidate or compromise the free exercise of regulatory activities and the livelihood of our lives and families: our work, which is to protect the health of citizens,” says the agency in a statement signed by the directors and the president Antonio Barra Torres, appointed by Bolsonaro – but broken with the government.

According to Anvisa, the agency is the “focus and target of violent political activism.” Public servants are said to have already reported death threats to the police by anti-vaccine groups even before the approval of the immunizer for children.

“The public service performed here, concerning vaccine analysis, is based on science,” says the agency, which guarantees a work environment “free of internal pressures and averse to external pressures.”

What Anvisa does fail to mention, however, is that there is science in both directions. There are researchers and studies that consider vaccinations for children harmless and those that, on the contrary, consider vaccinations for children very dangerous.

One of the biggest opponents of applying mRNA Covid vaccines on children is none other than the original “inventor” of exactly these mRNA and DNA vaccines that this debate is about, Dr. Robert Malone (see video above).

Anvisa also emphasizes that all its resolutions are directly or indirectly linked to the name of all our employees. Since Pfizer’s vaccine is already definitively registered in Brazil, the expansion of the target audience is made by the technical area and not only by the directors, who are usually more exposed in the media.
