Bolivarian alliance calls for international integration to create new emerging order

Yesterday, the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) urged the international community to strengthen integration mechanisms among new power blocs in the world, to strengthen the emergence of a new emerging order.

“The new times of integration have shown that the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean and Eurasia, amid diversity, with respect and equality, have a common destiny aimed at the welfare of their peoples,” Plasencia emphasized on Wednesday.

Plasencia reiterated that for ALBA-TCP, it is fundamental “a rapprochement between the existing blocs since it would open up real possibilities of improvements in economic matters for the peoples”.

The organization’s spokesman also pointed out that, in terms of international geopolitics, the rapprochement of new power blocs would reinforce “the promotion of multipolarity, respect for the self-determination of peoples, solidarity, cooperation and diversification of the economy”.

“Our role is to contribute progressively, clearly transforming the structures of our countries and the international structure,” the spokesman asserted.

Finally, Plasencia commented in Moscow that ALBA-TCP ratifies its support to the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) proclamation, declaring the region as a “Zone of Peace” to facilitate cooperation and economic development mechanisms.

ALBA-TCP emerged on December 14, 2004, at the proposal of Commanders Fidel Castro (1926-2016) and Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) and groups Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and St. Lucia.
