Trump Jr said China wants to exchange Bolsonaro for socialist president who “offer things for free”

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – One of the main attractions at CPAC Brazil, a right-wing congress organized by Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP) in Brasilia, Donald Trump Jr, eldest son of former US President Donald Trump, gave a speech on Saturday, 4, attacking China, Joe Biden’s administration, and recommending that Brazilians not accept “tyrannical governments.”

“It’s not a fair field, it’s not a fair fight. You have institutions with trillions of dollars repressing our beliefs, our ideas at the same time they are feeding these socialist ideas. We have to speak up, we have to not be afraid to speak out against the future of these tyrannical governments that they want to impose on us,” he said via video conference.

In the speech, Trump Jr said that China has an interest in exchanging Bolsonaro for a socialist president and called on Brazilians to give up candidates who “offer things for free.”

“Do you go the way of socialism or do you remain strong for freedom?” the son of Donald Trump teased. “The exports that go from Brazil to China are a ‘lifeline’ to China. So if you don’t believe that they’re not doing whatever they can to have a socialist government that they can manipulate there, someone who is susceptible to their craziness… if you don’t think China has plans for that for their enemy next year, then you’re not watching anything.”

The son of the former U.S. president also criticized the Biden administration by saying that the current president is acting to weaken the United States, end advances won by Trump, and undermine the country’s independence and freedom.

“We are watching convoys of Taliban flying American helicopters, driving American cars. We have armed the enemy, who will use the same weapons to repress, women, children, and their political enemies,” he said.

“The Taliban looks at Joe Biden and sees a man who cannot climb stairs, who cannot give a whole speech, who cannot remember the name of his Secretary of Defense.”

At the end of Trump Jr’s presentation, Eduardo Bolsonaro asked his friend to invite the former president to next year’s event and said that “here in Brazil people love” the Trump family.

The two-day congress comes on the eve of demonstrations in favor of Jair Bolsonaro’s government. On Friday, the 3rd, Labor Minister Onyx Lorenzoni opened the event and called on supporters to go to the demonstrations. On the agenda of the protests is the ouster of Justices of the Supreme Court (STF) and demanding the printed ballot.
