Travel Can Be Easy. Logistics Tips For Travelers in the Region
(Sponsored) Many people still have very old-school ideas about what it means to travel. This doesn’t necessarily involve heavy suitcases without wheels, but a lot of people haven’t fully realized just how easy getting around can be these days.
When people think about what goes into vacations, they often imagine waiting in lines everywhere, searching endlessly for affordable taxis and buses, and generally spending a lot of energy on simply getting from one place to another.
While we can’t vouch for the customs lines you’ll face in some countries, there are many ways in which travel has gotten definitively easier.
So if you’re hesitating about taking that next vacation, you can put your fears to rest. You can do much more than you could just a few years ago, and with little to no effort.
Is it really that easy?
Although not every country in the world is made for travel, many places in the Americas are getting on the tourism bandwagon because they can clearly see the benefits to be gained from doing so. Below, we will list just a few of the ways that this is happening.
Getting to the airport
This is one thing that most of us have traditionally considered to be a pain. But these days, municipalities are making this much easier for people.
Did you know that 11 capital cities in the Americas now have trains from city centers directly to their airports?
And for those cities in the US that don’t have one, you can easily get a USA transfers for a reasonable price. So you can put this particular fear aside; getting to the airport has truly become a snap.
The rise of budget airlines
While the early years of budget airline travel might have raised suspicion among travelers, it has now become completely commonplace.
And although there are still a few things that you need to keep in mind (such as extra baggage fees, lack of food service, etc), you can easily address these things by making a few minor adjustments in your personal plans.
The Americas boast some of the best budget airlines in the world, including:
● JetBlue in the US
● Viva Aerobus in Mexico
● SKY Airline in Chile
● LATIS across the region
These are just a few examples, but practically every country in the region boasts at least one quality budget carrier these days.
The blessings of Uber
Uber and its kin have truly uprooted the global taxi monopoly. One considered to be the exclusive realm of the rich, now everyone can get a cheap ride pretty much anywhere (at least in urban areas) for slightly more than the cost of public transportation.
Although it might not take you to the top of the Andes, you can easily get around more than 20 countries in North and South America in an Uber and not have to worry about blowing your travel budget (and hey, the mountains were made for climbing, anyway).
Get ready to roll
With all this in mind, you shouldn’t fret about logistics on your future vacations. Now, we’re not saying you shouldn’t be sensible when you pack. Budget airlines will charge hefty fees for hefty bags.
But we are living in the digital age, anyway. So much of what you’ll need can be stored on a cloud, or on your social media, or even on a hard drive. And you can buy sunscreen once you arrive at your destination.
