Born in Rio, Hanry Schroy is a bassist, composer and producer, who tonight will present his set entitled, “Os sete pontos da meditação: o grosso e o largo.”
Guitarist Pitter Rocha will present his solo project “Disco//Duro” (Disco//Hard, a play on Hard disk).

Anarkia Andarilha Exhibition (Botafogo)
Beginning tonight at 7PM, the Anarkia Andarilha exhibition opens in the Espaço Cultural Eletrobras Furnas in Botafogo. The exhibtion, currated by Dr. Gustavo Coelho, will feature works by Rio de Janeiro graffiti, urban artist and social activist Panmela Castro. Open through April 29th, visitation hours will be Tuesdays through Fridays from 1PM to 6PM and Saturdays and Sundays 2PM to 7PM. Additionally, the artist will paint live on the 13th and participate in a debate, “A Mulher na Cidade” (A Women in the City) on the 15th.

Tonight at 8:30PM JP Silva will start of the night at Carioca da Gema with the best of samba. Composer and singer Toninho Geraes will follow at 10:30PM. Geraes has composed for artists including Martinho da Vila and Zeca Pagodinho and during his show tonight, he will sing their hits, as well as his own compositions. Additionally, he will reinterpret the works of Moacyr Luz, Paulinho da Viola, and Chico Buarque, among others.

Tonight at Lapa’s Leviano bar it’s time to dance as the group Mano a Mano starts things off at 8PM with salsa and merengue on the first floor, while on the second floor the weekly Forró Leviano party will present a live performance by Lucy Araúgo.
