The Brazilian Army successfully integrates Ares Remax 4 turret on Iveco 4×4 vehicle

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Brazilian Army successfully performed the integration test of the Remax 4 weapon system on the Iveco 4×4 LMV-BR vehicle. The test result showed that the use of the same mechanical interfaces produced for the previous versions facilitated the integration of the new Remax 4, ensuring the effectiveness of the set.

This test took place at the CAEx (Army Evaluation Center) facilities and was attended by the Manufacturing Directorate (DF) members.

Ares Aeroespacial e Sistemas started the production of 20 units of this new weapon system to serve the Army, immersed in the process of modernization of its troops.

THE PROJECT

Ares and the Brazilian Army are developing the continuity of the project’s evolution. Besides the supply of the Remax 4, the contract foresees maintenance courses and transfer of capabilities to the military organizations that will become users of this remote weapon station.

To offer this modernization, the Brazilian company has invested massively in increasing its capabilities over the last few years, in pilot batches, constant training of the equipment, and infrastructure to meet the demands of the Brazilian Armed Forces.

Ares Aeroespacial e Sistemas also maintains bases throughout Brazil for logistical support of the equipment. A digital tool is used to assist in the daily tasks of Remax station users and request services and repairs via an app.

The company expects a service order to be issued for Remax 4 in 2022, which will ensure the continuity of the workforce involved in the program.
