Second Week of Parties Continue at Olympic Houses in Rio

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – During the 2016 Rio Games, almost thirty Olympic Hospitality Houses have been established throughout the city and many of those houses are hosting special parties and events during the games. Below are three notable houses to visit during the weekend of August 11th through 14th.

Música no Pavilhão da Dinamarca (Denmark Music Pavilion) – Located on Ipanema Beach near Posto 10 (Station 10), the Denmark Music Pavilion opened at the beginning of the games and will remain open through the end on August 21st. Regular pavilion hours are 5PM to 10PM with free entrance for the public.

Each week, a different DJ is serving as the resident DJ of the pavilion and spinning from 5PM to 7PM. From August 8th through August 14th, DJ and music producer Kant will take over the decks as resident DJ. Based in Copenhagen, Kant is known for his remixes of artists including Mø, Jessie J, and Nero and for his most recent release “Nightcall.”

Following Kant on Friday, August 12th, the group RKPG with Danish percussionist and current resident of Brazil, Ronni Kot Wenzell, will perform live.

On Saturday, August 13th, the group Tremolo Beer Gut will follow Kant. Currently touring Brazil, Tremolo Beer Gut has released five albums and is known its garage/surf/western rock sounds.

Música no Pavilhão da Dinamarca, Praia de Ipanema – Posto 10. Opened daily through August 21st, 5PM to 10PM.

Le Club – Club French, the France House in the Sociedade Hípica Brasileira in Lagoa, is hosting eight nights of the project, Le Club during the Olympic Games. The project includes hosting eight internationally known parties in the house’s club space, which has a capacity for up to 2,000 people per night.

On Thursday, August 11th, Le Club will present the Mansion Privilège party with DJs Gabe, Flow & Zeo, Amanda Chang, and Marquinhus SP spinning during the night.

The DENNIS party will take over the venue on Friday, August 12th with DJ and producer Denis. Then on Saturday, August 13th, the venue will host Cafe de la Musique with attractions including Dashdot, On’A Beat, Rico Mansur, and Michelle Schneider.

Additionally during the day, the France House, with a capacity of 4,000 visitors, is offering family-friendly activities including autograph sessions, sport demonstrations, and medal celebrations for the athletes of the French Olympic Team.

Le Club, Sociedade Hípica Brasileira, Av. Borges de Medeiros – Lagoa.

Oli Ale Alemanha na Praia – The Germany House, Oli Ale Alemanha na Praia in Leblon opened on August 4th and will remain open through September 18th. Thursdays through Sundays, the house will host various events including live viewing of Olympic broadcasts, chats, activities for children, and sports competitions followed by live music, DJs. and parties in the evenings.

On Thursday, August 11th, the venue will host Big Band der Bundeswehr at 7:30PM.
The MOO party will then take over the venue on Friday, August 12th beginning at 7PM and Big Band der Bundeswehr will return to perform on Saturday, August 13th beginning at 7:30 PM. Closing out the second weekend, the venue will host the Baile de forró on Sunday, August 14th beginning at 6:30 PM.

Germany House (OliAle), Leblon beach at Av. Delfim Moreira, 12 – Leblon. August 4th to September 18th, 2:30 PM-9:30 PM.
