Babilônia Feira Hype SaturdaySaturday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Today from 2PM to 10PM, a new fair in Barra da Tijuca, the Hype Free Market, will combine the best of both new fashion and brands in Rio with quality vintage and used goods from thrift shops and private sellers.

Created by Robert Guimarães and Fernando Molinari, the two men behind the popular monthly fair, Babilônia Feira Hype, the Hype Free Market will feature approximately one hundred exhibitors filling the second floor of the Shopping Città America.

Additionally as part of the ‘Brechó Particular’ (Flea Private) section of the fair, around sixty individuals will sell their own personal items. “We want to bring the trend of informal bazaars, that are held ​​at home with friends, to this event,” co-creator Robert Guimarães said in a press release, adding, “We want to expand the reach to the general public and encourage consumers to find a new way of consuming fashion, and so-called conscious consumption.”
