If You Only Go to One Place

Casa de Francisca, From Lunch Until One

Saturday is the day this house runs twice, with a daytime session and an evening one. Four separate spaces sit under the same roof.

The Largo on the pavement outside costs nothing to walk into.

Tonight at a Glance

  • Casa de Francisca · Sé Four spaces, separate shows and prices. Tickets through Sympla.
  • Canto da Ema · Pinheiros Forró (Brazilian couples’ dance) 22:00 to 04:30, class from 20:30. Ring ahead tonight.
  • Blue Note · Paulista Second-floor box office open 19:00 to 23:00 on Saturdays.
  • Metro overnight Lines 1, 2, 3 and 15 have been staying open Saturday into Sunday.
  • But not Line 4 Faria Lima is on the yellow line, outside the overnight scheme.
  • Long weekend Monday 7 September is the Independence Day holiday.

Tonight is Saturday 5 September 2026. São Paulo has its longest night of the week.

Four metro lines have been staying open through the small hours. That changes how far you can sensibly go.

What’s On Tonight

Casa de Francisca occupies the restored Palacete Tereza at Rua Quintino Bocaiúva 22. It has four separate spaces, each with its own show and price.

The Salão is the main room. Sala B is the intimate room upstairs, with 44 seats.

The Porão is in the basement. The Largo is a vinyl bar on the pavement, with free programming.

The Prefeitura’s 2024 listing gives Saturday hours of 12:00 to 17:30 and 20:00 to 01:00. A March 2026 profile describes a weekend lunch-and-music format in the Salão with two performances.

Tickets go through Sympla, priced per show and per room. Check which space you are booking before you pay.

The room matters as much as the night.

Canto da Ema publishes Saturday hours of 22:00 to 04:30, its longest night alongside Friday. A forró class runs from 20:30 to 21:30, before the floor opens.

Entry is R$55 (US$11) full or R$27 (US$5) concession. The class costs R$28 (US$5), paid in cash or by PIX (Brazil’s instant payment system).

It halves the full ticket price at the box office.

One caveat before you cross town: the venue’s own agenda page has not been updated in months. Ring (11) 2503-2915 to confirm tonight rather than trusting the standing schedule.

Blue Note sits on the second floor of the Conjunto Nacional, at Avenida Paulista 2073. Its box office opens 19:00 to 23:00 from Wednesday to Saturday, so tonight follows that pattern.

The Circuit

The centre starts early on a Saturday, with a daytime session from midday. The Largo outside costs nothing, so a ticket is a later decision.

The evening rooms reopen at 20:00. Paulista runs on its usual schedule.

Both sit on metro lines that stay open overnight tonight.

Pinheiros starts latest, with the class at 20:30 and the floor from 22:00. Faria Lima is on the yellow line, so plan a car home rather than a train.

Money and How Paying Works

Dollar figures in this article use Brazil’s official PTAX exchange rate. The Banco Central set it at R$5.1253 to US$1 on 4 September 2026.

The forró class is paid in cash or by PIX.

Casa de Francisca sells through Sympla and prices each room separately. Blue Note sells through its own site and Eventim.

Tickets from anywhere else are refused at the door.

The Metrô has said ticket offices stay closed during the overnight hours. Entry is by contactless card or QR code, so carry a card that works at the gate.

Getting Home Safe

The Metrô has been running lines 1, 2, 3 and 15 through the night from Saturday into Sunday. The scheme is experimental, so check the Metrô’s channels before you rely on it.

Transfers to the other lines are not available during the overnight hours. Lines 4 and 5 are run by private companies and close as usual.

That matters most in Pinheiros, where Faria Lima sits on line 4. Plan a rideshare home from there and book it from inside the venue.
