La Paz in Centro will host the Groove Party tonight, with a special Girl Power edition. There will be plenty of hip hop, old school, funk carioca, trap, dancehall and disco to keep you dancing until the early hours, with resident DJs and an all-female line up.

O Fantástico Circo do Bar Bukowski (Botafogo)
Tonight, Bar Bukowski will host O Fantástico Circo do Bar Bukowski. There will also be live band Dois ou Dez bringing the best of their own rock sounds. There is also a happy hour that starts before at 6:30 PM with special promotions on drinks and is free entry. Guests only need to pay if they stay for the O Fantástico Circo party.

Tonight, Palaphita will host their own St Patrick’s Day party, commemorating the Irish saint with promotions on Heineken. DJ Johnny Green will be on the DJ decks throughout the night.

It’s time again for Lapafest at Leviano bar tonight. Singer Lucas de Moraes will start off the night on the first floor performing a roda de samba with well-known samba classics. DJs Aílton Area and Cauê will be spinning the best of samba, funk, hip hop and electronic. The band Johnny’s will also be there performing the best tracks from the international rock scene.

Beginning at 7:30 PM, Adriana Dutra will start the night at Rio Scenarium with her renditions of swing classics. Aninha Portal will follow at 10:30 PM with the best of samba, guaranteeing a packed dance floor. Also at 10:30 PM, surf rock band Pura Vida will kick off, followed by DJ Marcelo Sabre spinning the best of Brazilian dance tracks from midnight. Then beginning at 3AM, Trio Sambúra will bring the best of forró.

Celebrating the Irish-Anglo heritage that formed an integral part of jazz club The Maze’s creation, tonight owner Bob Nadkarni will recreate the spontaneous spirit of the club’s first night. Doors open from 9PM and there will be live jazz music throughout the night and free caipirinhas for those who arrive before 10PM.
