The short-term structure underlines the stress. On the 4-hour view, silver was around $85.17 after trading roughly between $81.15 and $86.48.

That is a rebound, but it follows a collapse that pushed momentum into washout territory. When RSI readings fall this hard, it usually reflects liquidation, not “normal selling.”

This is the critical follow-up to yesterday’s narrative. The original trigger may have been political and policy-related. But the continuation looks financial and technical.

Once the crowded trade cracked, the market started behaving like a leveraged product. Stops get hit. Margin calls follow.

Volatility controls reduce exposure. Dealers hedge more aggressively as price falls. Each layer can accelerate the next.

The rebound does not disprove the flash-crash thesis. It confirms the regime shift. In a liquidation phase, violent bounces are common. They are part of the same process that creates the collapse.
