The Euromed Fès Sorbonne shared campus changes less about what students study than about where their Sorbonne link becomes visible. It was inaugurated on Thursday 15 October 2026 inside the eco-campus of Euromed University in the Moroccan city of Fès.
This guide sets out the programmes, the admission steps and the diplomas, using only pages published by Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Euromed. For the opening see Morocco France Shared Campus Opens 15 Oct, and for the degrees see Euromed Fès Paris 1 Partnership Explained.
What the Euromed Fès Sorbonne Shared Campus Changes for Students
The most concrete change is a Paris 1 presence on Euromed’s grounds. Bertrand Simon, who teaches political science at both universities, says it makes the Sorbonne link real for students.
Students knew they were also Paris 1 students, Simon says, but had not really realised that being at Euromed meant being at the Sorbonne. He expects them to feel more like members of the Paris 1 community and to get more involved in it.
Visiting Paris 1 teachers now have offices to work in, which Simon calls an important comfort. Paris 1 researchers outside these programmes can also base fieldwork there, with an office, library access and joint projects.
These benefits are aimed at staff, and the pages reviewed describe no new student facilities. Paris 1 names management, history, legal and political sciences and artificial intelligence as areas to develop, with no title, date or fee.

Programmes Students Can Choose in Fès
Paris 1’s list of programmes taught abroad names a political science bachelor’s and a Franco-Moroccan business law master’s at Euromed. Euromed’s institute also offers a bachelor’s in legal and political sciences, and says the Paris 1 partnership lets it promise a double degree.
The first two years of that bachelor’s form a common core, then students pick a political science or legal science track. The third year is for selective study abroad, set at 12 months, and the fifth year adds a six-month internship or project.
The business law master’s covers two years and 120 credits, with French as the teaching language. Paris 1 says professors and lecturers of its Sorbonne law school teach it in Fès, and seminars are planned between Fès and Paris.
Core subjects include contract drafting, arbitration, company law, banking law, tax and competition law, plus Moroccan business law and African business law (OHADA). Electives include company governance, insolvency law and restructuring, and other modules cover legal English, Spanish and research methods.
Students complete an internship of three months in a law firm or a company and write a research thesis. Practical seminars are led by French, Moroccan and African practitioners from major business law firms.
The Mediterranean and African Policies master’s, subtitled Circulations, Migrations, Transitions, is listed by Euromed as a double degree with Paris 1. Euromed describes it as looking at both shores of the Mediterranean and projecting towards Africa.
Whether it is already taking students is unclear, because Simon speaks of awaiting the opening of the next double-degree master’s. Euromed’s institute also lists master’s degrees in digital law, conflict management and sport law, which the pages reviewed do not tie to Paris 1.
Who Can Apply and How Admission Works
First-year bachelor’s entry needs a baccalaureate or equivalent, a file review, a written essay and a motivation interview, the brochure says. Second-year entry asks for a file review, first-year and baccalaureate transcripts, and an interview.
First-year master’s entry rests on a file review plus transcripts and diplomas from the baccalaureate and bachelor’s level. The brochure adds that general access can involve a competitive exam, a motivation interview or both.
Paris 1’s catalogue calls the business law master’s selective, with a file review, an interview and a jury decision. It is aimed at French-system law graduates and at graduates of Maghreb or francophone African universities.
Admitted students must enrol at both universities, the catalogue says, and Paris 1 lists a secretariat for the programme. Euromed runs an online application page for its programmes, where candidates pick a course and apply.
French is the teaching language of the business law master’s, while Euromed says its institute teaches in several languages. The pages reviewed state no language test and no separate rules for non-Moroccan applicants.
Which Diploma Students Receive
For business law, Paris 1’s catalogue says Paris 1 issues the diploma, which lets graduates sit the French bar exam. The catalogue lists a national certification record for the master’s that runs to 31 December 2028.
Euromed says business law graduates earn both the Paris 1 master, for the French bar, and the Euromed master, for the Moroccan bar. Paris 1’s catalogue says students may also obtain a Moroccan law master’s that opens the Moroccan bar.
Paris 1 calls the bachelor’s and the Mediterranean and African policies master’s double degrees. Le360 and LesEco, two Moroccan news sites, report that graduates receive French and Moroccan diplomas.
What It Means for US Readers
US families can see that a Sorbonne-linked degree is taught on a North African campus, mostly in French. The pages target French-system law graduates and graduates of Maghreb or francophone African universities, so American applicants should ask the institutions directly.
Paris 1’s own list shows separate double degrees with US universities, among them Cornell, but none of them belongs to the Fès campus. The pages say nothing about US credit transfer, visas or fees for American students.
For the wider Moroccan setting, see Who Runs Morocco’s Economy, the Key Players in 2026 and Morocco’s Africa Role as a New Government Forms. Those pieces cover the economy and the country’s role in Africa.
Fès has no city guide on the site yet. For other Moroccan cities, see the Casablanca City Guide for Expats and Visitors or the Rabat City Guide for Expats and Visitors.
What Is Not Known
Neither university publishes tuition, application deadlines, seat numbers or scholarships on the pages reviewed. Housing and living-cost guidance for students in Fès is also missing.
Sources differ on who issues the business law diploma and on whether the Moroccan diploma comes automatically. The intake status of the Mediterranean and African policies master’s is unclear.
The shared campus has announced prospects but no new programme. No Moroccan ministry statement on it has been found.
