By · July 29, 2021 · 2 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Colombia added 9,364 new infections on Wednesday (28), bringing the total number of infections to 4,757,139 and 319 deaths, bringing the country closer to 120,000 deaths with 119,801, according to the Ministry of Health.

The number of active cases continued to decrease. It stood at 78,461, equivalent to 1.64% of the total number of infections reported in the country since the first infection was reported on March 6, 2020.

VACCINATION PROGRESSES

The National Vaccination Plan started last February 17, and up to yesterday, 25,902,416 doses of vaccines from Pfizer, Sinovac, AstraZeneca, and Janssen had been applied.

Likewise, the country started to apply this Wednesday the 3.5 million Moderna vaccines donated by the United States Government.
