The Gas Aid will be granted every 2 months, for a 5-year period, and amounts to at least 50% of the average national reference price of the 13-kilogram cooking gas cylinder.

According to the Planalto Palace, the program will benefit at least 5 million low-income families. The government’s plan is to gradually extend the list of beneficiaries next year.
