Brazil produced a record 3.25 million barrels of oil per day in January

Brazil’s oil production rose 5.9% in January from the previous month and registered a record 3.255 million bpd (barrels per day), data from the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) pointed out.

The volume surpassed the previous monthly record in October when the country produced an average of 3.24 million bpd.

The result also represents a 7.35% increase compared to January 2022, according to data from the regulator published on the internet but not yet disclosed to the press.

The natural gas produced in the country last month, in turn, totaled an average of 142.785 million m3/d (cubic meters per day), up 1.89% compared to December and 3.89% compared to a year earlier.

The amount was the highest since the record set in October of 148.75 million m3/d.

The average oil and gas production was 4.153 million boed (barrels of oil equivalent per day), the highest volume since the record registered in October, of 4.18 million boed.

The amount was 5% above December and 6.6% higher than January 2022.
