The production company Brasil Paralelo launched on Monday, Jan. 23, the documentary ‘The Fantastic Factory of Sanity’.

But it doesn’t stop there. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 700,000 people die of depression every year.

By 2030, the disease will be the most significant cause of death among all health problems.

For this reason, Brasil Paralelo has gathered some of the greatest specialists in mental health today.

The list includes psychologists, psychoanalysts, philosophy professors, and journalists, such as Irving Kirsch, Lou Marinoff, Natalia Sulman, Ricardo Ventura, Robert Whitaker, and Sidney Silveira.

The Fantastic Factory of Sanity, released in the month dedicated to mental health, investigates in depth the interests of the pharmaceutical industry, mental disorders, and the trivialization of the use of drugs.

The documentary is directed by Lucas Araújo, who wrote the script, with Juan Montaño.
