Uber Hourly, Launched Only in USA, Allows Booking Trips by Paying Flat Rates

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In the US, Uber Hourly allows users to book an hour-long trip by paying a flat rate of US$50 (R$267). During this time users can make several stops at no additional cost. This allows users to travel to several places without having to order a new car for each trip.

In fact, users can book up to seven hours, but the price does not change: each booked hour costs US$50.

However, there are a few restrictions. To begin with, there is an hourly limit: in the United States, a car may only drive up to 40 miles in an hour, otherwise, users will need to pay for additional miles. There will also be an additional fee should the total number of trips exceed the booked hours.

The last ordered trip cannot have an airport as a destination. In addition, there is no refund for unused minutes and tolls are charged separately.

To hire Uber Hourly, simply select the option with the same name from the service app, select the desired number of hours, and follow the instructions to book.

In its initial stage, which will start on June 2nd, Uber Hourly will be available in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle, Tacoma, and Tampa Bay.

There is yet no data on plans to expand to other locations, but the service is being assessed in cities in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, suggesting that availability to further locations is not a remote possibility.
