Venezuela and Brazil to expand energy, commercial and military cooperation

On Wednesday night, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro informed that Venezuela and Brazil have decided to significantly expand their bilateral ties in different areas, including energy cooperation, science and technology, agriculture, and territorial defense.

Regarding energy, the head of state explained that the agreement reached Tuesday between both parties recognized the need to ally to guarantee investments in oil, petrochemicals, and gas.

He added that Caracas and Brasilia agreed to "increase trade" between both nations while specifying that, in the past, the commercial exchange reached 6 billion dollars, "and today it is less than two billion dollars".
