Brazil: Lula to board for G7 summit – president to have bilateral meetings with Japan, India, and Indonesia

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) embarks on Wednesday, May 17, and is expected to arrive in Hiroshima on Friday, May 19.

His return is scheduled for Sunday evening, the 21st.

The president will have at least three bilateral meetings during his passage through the G7 summit this weekend.

Schedules with the president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, and the prime ministers of India, Narendra Modi, and Japan, host Fumio Kishida, are set, but with no exact dates.

Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida invited Lula by phone to attend this year's G7.
