RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The list of the 100 richest agribusiness municipalities in Brazil was released by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (Mapa). The ranking was based on data from the Municipal Agricultural Production (PAM) for 2020, raised by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), and released in October 2020.
Based on this information, a classification was made considering the production value of temporary and permanent crops and the Gross Domestic Product of the Municipalities (GDP) based on 2019.
