Brazil features two beaches ranked among world’s best

By · February 25, 2021 · 1 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL,  – Travelers from several countries have chosen two Brazilian beaches among their worldwide favorites.

The Sancho Bay, located in Fernando de Noronha (PE), and the Dolphin Bay, at Pipa Beach in Tibau do Sul (RN), are ranked third and tenth, respectively, in the Travellers’ Choice award, the best of the best, by TripAdvisor travel website.

The Brazilian destinations were selected based on feedback from the platform’s users.

Winner of several international awards, Sancho Bay fascinates with its crystal clear water and clear sands, ideal for water sports such as diving, swimming, and surfing. It is home to a wealth of coral reefs and a diversified marine fauna.

The Dolphins Bay, in turn, is known for its tranquility and beauty, considered one of the best preserved beaches in the Pipa region. Here, one can watch the dolphins swimming, who usually greet visitors with leaps and tricks.

In Brazil, coastal destinations are the favorite for leisure travel: 34.3% of Brazilians who traveled around the country in 2019 were attracted by sun and beach.

The data is included in the Tourism module of the 2019 Continuous National Household Sample Survey (PNAD Contínua), a partnership between the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and the Ministry of Tourism.
