Aretê Lifestyle: A Unique Neighborhood Concept in Búzios
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Since Brigitte Bardot discovered Búzios and put it on the map 57 summers ago, the city has established itself as a haven of rustic charm and tranquility.
But despite the memorable beauty of its more than 20 beaches, Búzios had never planned a neighborhood that would enable a lifestyle connected to sports.

With this in mind, Opportunity Investment Fund has conceived Aretê Búzios, located around Rasa Beach, right at the entrance of the city and with an airport within the neighborhood, capable of accommodating executive jets and air taxis.
The Aretê structure will serve as a reminder to São Paulo residents of the convenience of Fazenda Boa Vista, with the beach and a high performance sports complex with outdoor activities as a differential.
The three most conjugated verbs in the Aretê will be cycling, swimming and running – a lifestyle that will attract anyone ranging from young investors to athletes and whole families.

Aretê features a marina, beach tennis courts and a cycling track – all in a city where it hardly rains.
The Aretê Club – divided in three locations – offers high performance equipment for triathlon, cycling, mountain biking and beach tennis, in addition to a 50-meter swimming pool and tennis, volleyball and multi-sport courts.
At Sede Beach, there is an exclusive nautical equipment storage area. The Aram restaurant, facing the ocean, offers its guests the option of a day use, with access to Sede Beach and Rasa Beach.
The club also features the only golf course in Brazil designed by Pete Dye, the golf course Picasso. Recent investments have enabled the replacement of all 18 greens, the implementation of new tees, the design of seven new lakes and the deepening of two other existing ones. Everything is contained in a course measuring seven thousand yards.
Facing the canals and with a stunning sunset, the Aretê Hotel is also a strategic point to welcome families, amateur and professional athletes, in addition to regular Búzios visitors. Next to the marina, the hotel offers comfort and safety for those who prefer to travel around Búzios or the whole region on their own boat.
The cycling track is 10.2 km long – 7.5 km dedicated to road cycling and the rest to gravel, a hybrid modality that combines mountain biking and speed. The track’s surroundings, with low landscaping and fences, provide a natural barrier that prevents animals and pedestrians from crossing and allows full focus on the sport.

In Toriba, the neighborhood’s nautical area, houses are located facing the marina’s navigable channels. It is the adventure and the intensity of beach life.
The Ybirá region, around the course, offers a mountain-like atmosphere, and its houses overlook the golf course. There are plots with ready infrastructure, house and villa condominiums signed by the architecture offices Erick Figueira de Mello, FGMF, Feu Arquitetura and Pedro Paranaguá.
As the city is one of Brazil’s most popular summer destinations, access to its beaches is becoming increasingly easier.
Azul began to serve the city with its Azul Conecta service, which operates during high season and departs from Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte. Despite the bustling Porto da Barra, Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot – mandatory night spots in high summer – Búzios remains a rustic village, a diamond in the rough.
