Originating in São Paulo and opening a second venue in Rio in 2007, The Week was one of Rio’s most popular nightlife spots through February 2013. After a brief break, The Week returned to Rio in December 2014 and has since quickly regained its former reputation. The club is known for lively events, special guest performers and DJs and for its eclectic crowd, which includes gays, straights and everyone looking for a great night of partying.

Festa Bacaníssima (Lapa)
Tonight Fundição Progresso in Lapa will host a special edition of Festa Bacaníssima with blocos Brasília Amarela and Enquanto Corria o Bloco performing live. Additionally, DJs Beto Costa and Rafael Martins and guest DJs Matheus and Collet will spin during the night.

The Forma (Copacabana)
In Copacabana tonight, the Fosfobox club will host The Forma, a new project that aims to present vanguard music and transgress influences. Tonight São Paulo DJ Magal, Wobble party DJ Rodrigo S., resident DJs Dani Souto and Felipe Sá, and Lincø and Ezrock of the Aperó movement will perform live in the subsolo (basement), while not me & πollanda perform above at the Fosfobar. It’s time again for the Veneno party tonight at Botafogo’s Casa da Matriz. For over ten years the weekly events, filled with good music and beautiful people, have helped start weekends early in Rio. Tonight will be no exception as DJs Tulio Araujo and Beto Artista will spin the best of rock and pop on the first floor while the Meninas Veneno return to the second floor to spin the best of unsigned hits.

Then at 10:30PM, the band Sambarock da Silva with Bruno Maia will follow with the best of samba and their reinterpretations of works by Elis Regina, Gilberto Gil, Paulinho da Viola, Maria Rita, Jorge Benjor, and Seu Jorge, among others.

Forró and Salsa Leviano (Lapa) Tonight at Lapa’s
Tonight at Lapa’s Leviano bar it’s time to dance as the group Mano a Mano starts things off at 8PM with salsa and merengue on the first floor, while on the second floor the weekly Forró Leviano party will present a live performance by Marcelo Mimoso.
