EXHIBITIONS

- Vertigem (Vertigo) / photography
In her work developed in France, Rafaela Celano seeks to reflect on an issue very present in the essence of photography: time. To this end, the artist focuses on an old house with children who play with adult clothes. These images and their symbolism allow us to think about this circular, amalgamated time. A “Bergsonian” time, which takes away the ground and makes us dizzy.
Curated by: Greice Rosa
From August 8th to September 22nd
Tuesday to Sunday – Noon to 7 PM
In the Galleries on the first floor

- Topografias Imaginadas (Imagined Topographies) / photography
The exhibition combining Edu Monteiro, Jaques Faing, José Diniz, Luiz Alberto Guimarães, and Luiz Baltar shows expressive articulations of cartography unbounded by maps. The invited artists start from reality to build other spaces, which are the expression of both the soul of things and the porosity of life.
Curatorship: Angela Pelegrino and Nadja Magalhães
From August 8th to September 29th
Tuesday to Sunday – Noon to 7 PM
In the Galleries on the first floor

- Rio Branco, 241 – Justiça e Cultura (Justice and Culture) / History
The bilingual exhibition shows a retrospective of the occupation of the Federal Supreme Court’s original building, focusing on the trajectory to becoming the Federal District Court in Rio de Janeiro. Its panels tell the story, from the creation of the Federal Courts of First and Second Instance to the restoration works and establishment of the Federal Courthouse Cultural Center, including remarkable facts about the history of Federal Courts in this building.
