This will mark the first live City and Colour performance in the city. During the show tonight, Green will be accompanied by a full band consisting of bassist Jack Lawrence, drummer Doug MacGregor, and guitarists Dante Schwebel and Matt Kelly.
Green created City and Colour while still a member of the popular Canadian band, Alexisonfire and to date has released four City and Colour albums. His most recent release was for the single “Nowhere Texas” in December of last year. The song hopes to draw attention to help fight violence against women.
Additionally during the night, DJ Sal Oliveira and Beto Artista will spin before and after the show.

“William Eggleston, The color of American” Exhibition Opening (Gávea)
The exhibition, “William Eggleston, The color of Americana”, will open today at the Instituto Moreira Salles in Gávea. The exhibition features 172 works taken by American photographer William Eggleston in the 60s and 70s. Eggleston is considered to be a master of color photography and is scheduled to be present during the opening ceremony. Following the opening the exhibition will run through June 28th.

Mahmundi @ Festival Polos (Ipanema)
Tonight Mahmundi will perfom live at Oi Futuro Ipanema as part of the Festival Polos. Born Marcela Vale and raised in Rio, Mahmundi released her first EP, Efeito das Cores (Effects of Color), in 2012. Following the success of singles “Calor Do Amor,” and “Vem,” Mahmundi released the Setembro (September) EP in 2013.
