Rolex renews partnership and is the official watch of the Rio Open
Rolex, the Swiss fine watchmaking brand, is the official watch of the Rio Open.
Present since the first edition, the brand has renewed its partnership with the tournament for the ninth consecutive year.
The Rio Open occurs from February 18 to 26 at the Brazilian Jockey Club in Rio de Janeiro.
The Rio de Janeiro event is the first ATP 500 in Brazilian history and one of the world’s only ATP 500 clay tournaments, along with Barcelona and Hamburg.

In this edition, there will be three Rolex Tennis Ambassadors in the disputed line-up:
- Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who debuts in Brazil and at the Rio Open this year, currently occupies the 19th position in the ranking;
- Austrian Dominic Thiem, who returns after not playing in the last edition due to a wrist injury;
- Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, the winner of the tournament’s last edition, at only 19 years old, won his first ATP 500 at the Rio Open in 2022.
The athletes will be joined by multi-time champion Roger Federer, who has been associated with the brand since 2001, along other great tennis players such as Alexander Zverev, Belinda Bencic, Garbiñ and Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Caroline Wozniacki, and Caroline Garcia.
In addition to the matches and practices on the nine clay courts, there is Leblon Boulevard, an interactive area with several attractions for the public, such as stands, stores, and gourmet space.
Rolex’s history with tennis is old – it began in 1978 when it partnered with Wimbledon, the oldest and most prestigious of tournaments.
The Geneva-based company is now directly associated with the world’s most prestigious tennis tournaments and sponsors some of the best players.
