Covid-19: Brazil Counts 128,500 Deaths and 4.19 Million Cases (September 9th)
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil has once again recorded over 1,000 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours. According to the updated balance released on Wednesday, September 9th, by the Ministry of Health, another 1,075 deaths were registered between Tuesday and Wednesday, raising the total of deaths in the country by the disease to 128,539.
Since September 2nd, when the country recorded 1,184 deaths by the novel coronavirus, the number of daily deaths had not exceeded the one thousand mark.
Still according to the Coronavirus Panel, another 35,816 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in the country in 24 hours, raising the total number of cases to 4,197,889. Of this total, 3,453,336 are related to patients who have already recovered from the disease and 616,014 are still under follow-up.
States
The states with the highest number of deaths are São Paulo (31,821), Rio de Janeiro (16,770), Ceará (8,604), Pernambuco (7,764), and Pará (6,280).
The states which have lost the fewest lives to date are Roraima (605), Acre (631), Amapá (675), Tocantins (762), and Mato Grosso do Sul (1,007).
