The SP2 was released in 1972, with production up to 1976. Approximately 11,000 models were produced in this period. Its design is still highly acclaimed, along with a 1,700 cm³ air-cooled engine with 75 horsepower. In spite of its bold look, sportiness was never its strong suit.

The Karmann-Ghia TC is an elegant 2+2-seat coupé, produced between 1970 and 1976. It featured a 1,600 cm³ and 50 hp engine.

The Brasília is the best known of the trio. Released in 1973, it was in production for almost ten years, until 1982. During this period, almost one million units were sold.
