Brazil-based automakers produced 203.6 thousand cars, light trucks, trucks, and buses in July this year, Anfavea reported Friday (5).
The figure represents a 33.4% growth compared to July 2021, when 164.2 thousand vehicles were produced, and are 7.5% higher than the previous month when 203.6 thousand new vehicles were produced.
So far this year, the industry has assembled a total of 1.31 million vehicles in the country.
Licensing also increased. In July, there were 182 thousand, up 3.7% from a year earlier, when 175,500 vehicles were licensed, and 2.2% from the previous month, when 178,100 vehicles were licensed.
Regarding exports, Anfavea stated that they increased by 76.3% year-on-year.
In July this year, 41.9 thousand vehicles were exported, compared to 23.8 thousand in the same period last year.
Despite the annual growth, there was a decrease of -11.4% compared to June 2022, when Anfavea recorded exports of 47.3 thousand vehicles.
