Neymar Rape Accuser Najila Trindade In Default on Rent, subject to Eviction

By Contributing Reporter

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Najila Trindade was convicted in an eviction proceeding for failure to pay rent on the apartment where she lives in the south zone of São Paulo and was required to settle the debt by June 27th.

However, the model reached an agreement with the landlord and promised to vacate the property and deliver the keys next Wednesday, July 3rd.

This week, a relative of Najila approached the lawyer of landlord Marcus Vinícius Picconi asking for an extension of the deadline. The allegation is that the model is going through a difficult emotional time due to the sexual scandal involving Neymar.

The lawyer aims to reach an agreement to pay the outstanding debt upon handing over the key. Najila’s debt is currently around R$40,000 (US$10,000), and she intends to pay in installments.

Had Najila Trindade not spoken, the lawyer would have formally requested the judge to notify her of the eviction. After the notice, the model would have 15 days to vacate the apartment.

After that deadline, a forced eviction would be carried out. In the procedure, the Justice sends a bailiff, a locksmith, and a moving truck to the property. It is completely emptied, and all belongings are taken to a storage room. The police are available in case of resistance by the tenant.

Bornacina says that the agreement will be beneficial to both parties. The landlord will not need to take such drastic and costly measures that would not be in his best interest and will have his property available for a new lease.

Najila, on the other hand, will not see her debt increase with the maturity of new rents, interest, and monetary corrections.

The model had said that she was no longer interested in living in the area and was considering leaving the city of São Paulo and moving to Bahia because of the case’s repercussions.

The model was convicted of “eviction for non-payment combined with collection” on May 30th this year, the day before filing a report accusing Neymar of rape. According to the lawsuit, she failed to pay her rent between August of last year and February of this year. However, the debt kept increasing in the period from February to June.
