The elected representative Sonia Guajajara (Psol, far left) has been confirmed as Minister of Indigenous Peoples. The official announcement should be made by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, progressive-globalist) in the next few days.
Guajajara was one of three names submitted by Apib (Articulation of the Indigenous Peoples of Brazil) as suggestions for the highest position in the portfolio, which the next government will create.
