RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Five states were responsible for the 0.6% drop in national industrial production from September to October of this year, among them São Paulo, the country's largest industrial park, with a 3.1% retreat.
The other places were Santa Catarina (-4.7%), Pará (-4.2%), Minas Gerais (-3.9%) and Espírito Santo (-1%). The data were released today (9), in Rio de Janeiro, by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
