Brazil: Federal Police says Telegram app does not collaborate with investigations

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The head of the division of Repression of Treasury Crimes of the Federal Police (PF), Cléo Mazzotti, said that Telegram is not giving “effective answers” to the institution’s requests.

According to the delegate, PF teams participated in a meeting with company representatives to learn what is needed for the application to collaborate with investigations.

“The PF is still trying to talk with the office [that began to represent Telegram after the Supreme Court decision] to align paths, see the best way to forward, and have the requests met,” he told the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper.
