Federal District wants to close off the place of the three powers upon Bolsonaro’s return for fear of the people

The Three Powers Square will be closed with barriers on Thursday (30). The day marks the return of Jair Bolsonaro to Brazil.

The former president is expected to arrive in Brasilia early in the morning.

The Federal District government’s decision was made on Tuesday (28) in a meeting attended by vice-governor Celina Leão.

There was a fear on the part of the Federal District government that riots could occur. The information was published in the newspaper O Globo.

In addition to installing barriers in Three Powers Square, the surroundings of Brasília’s Airport are also expected to be fenced off.

To enter the area on Thursday morning, it will be necessary to show travel tickets.

“We held an important meeting, and we are going to prepare a scheme that guarantees the safety of the former president and the citizens of Brasília and those who are connecting at the airport.”

“Ideally, the party should not take place in the airport lobby so as not to disturb the boarding and disembarkation of passengers and the safety of the ex-president”, said Public Safety Secretary of the Federal District, Sandro Avelar.

Yesterday, during the CCJ session in the House, Minister of Justice Flávio Dino said that the Federal Police (PF) would do Bolsonaro’s security only inside the airport.

“Who police outside the airport is the Military Police of the Federal District,” he said.

BOLSONARO’S RETURN

The Gol flight in which Bolsonaro will travel is scheduled to land at 7:15 am at the federal capital’s airport.

According to the government’s decision, Bolsonaro will have to leave via an exit other than the main one, according to the Federal District’s planning of the Security Secretariat.

The Liberal Party (PL) had anticipated the former president’s return through a note.

The airline tickets have already been issued, and Bolsonaro is expected to take a commercial flight today, at 9:55 pm, in Orlando.

Bolsonaro will be received by a group formed by the former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, the president of the PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, the party leaders in Congress, and the national secretary of Institutional Relations, Walter Braga Netto.
