Possible Indo-Brazilian partnership and Angola’s interest in Embraer C-390

At the B20 Summit in New Delhi, Embraer President, Francisco Gomes Neto, suggested a Possible Indo-Brazilian partnership and Angola’s interest in Embraer C-390.

This could involve producing the C-390 Millennium aircraft in India under the Make in India program.

The aircraft was discussed at AeroIndia 2023, and the collaboration would support India’s vision for self-sufficiency and national security.

Additionally, Brazil recently rented space on an Indian rocket and observed the Chandrayaan-3 landing.

Angola also expressed interest in acquiring four Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft during a visit by Brazilian President Luis Inácio.

This acquisition would update Angola’s outdated fleet, enhance mission capabilities, and require a commercial approach from Brazil for financing.

Jorge Viana, Apex-Brasil President, emphasized the necessity of financing, credit, and export guarantees.

The C-390 Millennium received Full Operational Capability (FOC) from the Brazilian Air Force in April 2023.

The aircraft is suitable for both India and Angola due to its versatility, minimal maintenance requirements, and ability to operate on diverse terrains.

It can rapidly respond to humanitarian missions and military force deployment.

The aircraft requires less inspection and on-demand maintenance, reducing operating costs.

For Angola, Embraer offers training courses to ensure a smooth transition to the new aircraft.

The Angolan Air Force has used Embraer aircraft for 10 years.

In summary, the Embraer C-390 Millennium aircraft presents a suitable option for India and Angola.

It aligns with their needs for versatility, minimal maintenance, and robustness.

The potential partnerships and acquisitions discussed at the B20 Summit and during official visits demonstrate the aircraft’s appeal and the importance of financing such international transactions.
