A weekly live music party, the event has taken place for years with a wide variety of percussionists, musicians, dancers, samba lovers and all-around party flocking to the outdoor party every Monday night, weather permitting.
Located on Pedra do Sal, on a huge, smooth rock, the area becomes a makeshift dancefloor with veterans and newcomers alike dancing the night away as the event progresses.

Lunes Sessions @ Leviano (Lapa)
On Monday nights in May, the Leviano bar in Lapa is presenting Lunes Sessions with band Clandestinos, led by singer-songwriter Udi Fagundes, performing their covers of works by Manu Chao, Chico Science, Jorge Benjor, and Bob Marley as well as original arrangements of the best of reggae, dub, ska, and hip-hop. Additionally during the weekly event, Radiola Visto Rasta is playing the best of reggae roots and dub.

Rio Boat Club (Marina da Glória)
A two-story boat turns into a nightclub complete with top DJs and a happy hour with two for one drinks for men and free drinks for women before midnight. Once the cruise starts, there are some amazing views to take in as the boat travels around Guanabara Bay.

Roda de Samba Pedra do Sal (Gamboa)
Weather permitting, classic roda de samba with an emphasis on the music’s African roots is back at Pedra do Sal tonight. The weekly event is considered by many to be one of the most authentic rodas de samba in the city.

Roda de Samba with Rixxa (Lapa)
For more dancing and singing, head to Lapa’s Carioca da Gema tonight. The venue will come alive at 7:30PM with singer Marcos Novatto starting off the night. At 9:30PM it’s time for three hours of live samba provided by vocalist Rixxa accompanied by brilliant percussionists and members of the Zeca Pagodinho band.

Shenanigan’s (Ipanema)
With classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Monday through Friday, Happy Hour is 6PM to 8PM and Monday is half price steak night starting at 8PM.

Mab’s Restaurant and Bar (Copacabana)
This American-owned restaurant and bar on Copacabana Beach is a great place for food, drinks and entertainment. Every night, Tony Boka is performing live from 8PM until midnight. Boka is known for his varied repertoire that always pleases the crowd.
